The Ziklag Project

The Ziklag Project is a culmination of jazz, humour and honesty realised in a traditional piano trio format. Founded by Will, the trio is given life by the superb and dynamic playing of James Hutchinson on bass, and Stephen Hanley on drums. Together they form a tight unit, providing a mixture of old and new standards and original compositions. Ziklag are on tour from the end of June, please see the gigs page for details.

The JWR Collective

The JWR Collective includes singer and actress Juliet Ascroft, pianist Will Talbot and bassist Robert Perry. All three live in The South West and have known each others work for a number of years. Juliet loves songs with passion and has performed many of the major musical roles that need a powerful and soulful voice. Her dream band has always been the small intimate setting of the trio. Robert has worked in many musical contexts; always drawn to songs with powerful words and emotion.

The three musicians were united for a gig where their chemistry was immediate and obvious. The JWR collective had a ball and started planning more gigs.

JWR collective is determined to stay fresh and exciting. With that in mind their choice of material is very important. Their current set includes songs by Christina Aguilera, Jace Everett, Ocean Colour Scene, Otis Redding, Etta James and Lisa Stansfield.

Somethin' Else: A Tribute to Cannonball Adderley

This exciting new ensemble captures the relaxed and yet presice feel of one of the most famous jazz bands of all time.  Not to be missed, this group of young musicians demonstrate a skill far beyond there years, and express an obvious love for the music, and the musicians they emulate.  Going on a full UK tour in the late part of the year, this band will leave you sith your feet tapping, and your heart laughing.  Featuring Nick Browne, Riley Stone-Lonegan, Kim Macari, Steve Hanley, Tom Wheatley and Will Talbot.
